Space Sector Forum

The 4th Space Sector Forum (SSF 2024) was held on June 4, 2024, at the Warsaw Expo XXI. Organized biennially since 2016, the event brought together a diverse range of participants and enthusiasts from the business world, scientific and research centers, public administration, and the media, all focused on the development of space technologies.

The primary aim of SSF 2024 was to promote the space sector both domestically and internationally. This sector holds significant potential for development and innovation, with applications extending beyond space to various economic sectors such as agriculture, environmental and climate protection, national security, and defense. Satellite data, a key output of the space industry, is essential for advancing the open data economy and transforming Industry 4.0.

This year’s edition featured two main components:

Exhibition: Showcased the latest solutions and achievements of Polish space companies.

Conference and Workshops: Parallel sessions discussed future perspectives and key issues in the space sector.

The conference covered several crucial topics, including:

Changes in the Polish Space Strategy
The National Space Program
Participation of national entities in ESA programs
The role of the Polish space industry in ensuring national security

SSF 2024 was co-organized by:

The Ministry of Development and Technology
The Polish Space Agency
The Industrial Development Agency

The forum typically gathered around 400 participants, including representatives from companies, research centers, administration, and the media. It provided an excellent platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences and shaping the future directions of the space sector.
